Alright, I am wondering when you look up into the sky, which star in Sagitarius appears to be closest to the galactic center? It's a question on my astronomy homework and I can't seem to find it.
I'm not talking about being literally the closest to the center, it would get sucked into the dusty cloud at the center that we are unable to see into clearly, so from a viewing from earth standpoint, which is the closest?

with the naked eye?

that makes it more complicated then cause the bigger the scope the more stars you see. Lets assume they mean with the naked eye since all constellations are drawn from that.

This was really hard to find but i think it's Lambda Sagittarii, Kaus Borealis

I checked again and Warmsoapywater is correct
