My mom did it and yes it mad me mad. But now I understand it was because I was up to no good, and she was scared. Parents do it because they need to know what you are up to.

Yes, Once I had a girl call me at about 1:30 am on Sunday morning asking me to come over and help drink the beer that was left over from a Friday night party. My mom listened in, I was 16 or 17 at the time and you can imagine how that went over.

I was furious! But, in retrospect I was not as mad she listened in as was that she found out what I was up to.

Spoken like a true dad of two, who by the way has never listened in on my kids phone conversations

My mum never listened to my phone conversations but she did read my diary. It made me really angry but i dont like conflict so i just took my diary, hid it somewhere else and forgot about it till now. I think its an invasion of privacy especially if its a conversation with a boy or girlfriend.

I recall my dad listening in, and forbidding me to hang out with a friend or two. It did make me mad. He was not a very good father (not just for that reason).

My mother had better things to do with her time than listen to my conversations. That is crazy! Does she not trust you or just have nothing better to do?
