Higher than what? If you were using protection? Of course it is higher than if you were using protection. The only thing that can increase your odds are
1)having sex during ovulation (14 days after the start of your period, or you can purchase an ovulation kit at your drug store)
2)Make sure your husban 'saves his sperm' he wants to not have sex or masturbate for at least 3 days before you have sex when you are ovulating (this will make the amount of sperm higher)
3) fertility drugs but I would only do this as a last resort
You should only be concerned if you try consistently for 1 year to conceive and nothing happens. Then I would see a specialist just to make sure that you do not need help.
Good Luck!!
Relax and enjoy! Stress will only make it harder to conceive!

If you are trying to get pregnant, then congratulations, yes you have a higher chance of getting pregnant. If you DON'T want to get pregnant then I'd start using birth control, because, believe me I'm 9 weeks pregnant now and it's been some of the WORST weeks of my life! I'm so sick it's not even funny and I PLANNED this!!! If you didn't plan to be pregnant you'd be a fool because it hits you like a tonne of bricks.

My dear, if you have to ask this question, you should not be having sex. period. at all. or at least for a very long time.
Not only does unprotected sex increase your chances of pregnancy, it substantially increases your risk for a sexually transmitted disease or virus. HIV, Ghonorea, Syphilis, Herpes, and HPV (of which, nearly 80% of the population is infected with and has been directly linked to cervical cancer).

Yes it does make your risk higher for getting pregnant, and also it puts you in some danger for getting sexually transmitted diseases. Unless you want to be pregnant, I suggest that you have your partner wear a condom, and that you and your own partner be checked for STD's.

As opposed to abstinence?
As opposed to using condoms?
As opposed to using birth control pills?
Do you really have to ask? You have the vagina. You know what to use it for. You do not understand the consequences of your actions?
Duh!
Oh. BTW, you are at a higher risk for a sexually transmitted disease. Can you say HIV/AIDS?
