My husband and I went to Egypt for two weeks in September 2005. If you are interested in history, this is the place to go to. The Egyptian Museum is a must, allow at least a day for this, a 3 day trip down the Nile, stopping off at Luxor, Aswan, Valley of the Kings etc. If you want to visit King Tut's tomb, make sure you get a ticket at the gate. The guides will not always tell you this, and we missed out on going down there. Also went to Dahab in Sinai to visit our son. Amazing scenery on the way. Maybe an organised trip here, if you dont want too many hassles.
