Conceited people generally tell others how confident they are...confident people don't care if others know it or not.

Confident is good, and knows it, but does not have a big need to tell everyone else
Conceited has more of a connotation of being stuck up, bragging. A conceited person thinks his sh-t doesn't stink

If you are confident it mean`s that you are sure you can do something And you will try your best. conceited mean`s that a person will say they can do something even if they know they can`t. And they say this because they think they are better than other people.

confidence comes with experience. conceit is the product of ego, and a very over inflated one at that. Conceited people are actually insecure and immature. Confident people are usually secure with themselves and mature.

i think people who carry themselves confidently worry less about what others say and are more goal oriented. a bad hair day wouldn't ruin a confident person's day. don't confuse this with apathetic tho, because those that are confident DO care about what really matters and an apathetic person cares really about nothing.
a conceited person thinks that they are god's gift to mankind. usually they are snooty and have the tendency to talk behing others' backs. a bad hair day would ruin this kind of person's WEEK.

If you are confident: you respect yourself and others. You see yourself as an equal and you feel like you are comfortable with who you are.
If you are conceited: You respect only yourself. You feel like you are better than others (not nessicerally everybody else). You are most likely unsociable....meaning when other people talk you don't even both to listen.
