Make-up differs between dry skin and oil skin.
For Oil skin
1.Use a facial cream to remove the Oil and don't use any powder . Do have a kerchief and often clean your face to have a dry skin.
2. For hair you should have a Wet look and don't apply any oil but you can use some jel to have a wet look.
For Dry skin
1.Apply some Oil in your face before taking bath. After your bath your skin on the face will be shining. You will be getting a second look from everybody. Please do not use powder.
2. For Hair, apply little oil to hair.
This make-up would suit for a dark persons.
with regards
Robin

Firstly wash your face with cold water. Choose a foundation which is very close to your skin colour. Apply blusher to the minimum, avoiding the red tone. The lipsticks should be light shades, with the lipliner matching with the lipstick and not any contrasting lipliner. Apply eyeliner, either black or brown. . A dash of mascara and the eye shadow should be of light shades. Minimum makeup will make you look pleasant, and overdone makeup will make you look out of place.

The 'drug-store' variety cosmetic lines have expanded their coverage rage to include women of color. Testers are the best. Go to Sephora and try out different shades. Even Kohl's has stations to try on the make-up before you spend money on it. Just be sure to look at yourself in different lighting. The flourescents can make the colors look different than they would in natural light. I would suggest going to a department store and having a consultation if at all possible. It is their job to match make-up with the person.

Unfortunately you have to apply either two lighter shades or two darker of make up to a dark person. I had theater make up as part of my theater major and got this info from the theater make up book. This is also coming from a light skinned person. When I was in several theater productions I didn't have to put on make up b/c people of color didn't have to worry about that. But I did have to wear lipstick.
All in all rule of thumb whatever color you are you have to wear two shades lighter or darker than your skin color.

First apply a foundation the colour of your skin ( you can find one nowadays).
If it's for a party, use black eyeliner to frame your eyes, then use bronze highlighter(shadow), and dust the crease of your eyes with any dark colour.
Use a dark matte lipstick, with a little bronze lip gloss.
For daywear, simply use eyeliner and a brown or natural lipstick, with or witout plain lipgloss.
Never use pastel or high frost shades.
Copper, gold and bronze work best.

beauty is always skin deep.if you have flawless, glowing skin, then no need of make up.but ,some times we need make up.don't put on lots of make up.always use matte' finish, water proof make up.for darker skin type any shade of brown or earthy shades are best.at the day time no make up look is the best.for that effect first use cover stick,if there is any dark circle or spot.then use translucent powder, black /blue mascara, black kohl, one lighter &one darker shade of eye shadow.blend those properly.blush on will be also in brown, one shade lighter than your normal skin colour.use coloured gloss on lips.or you can use light orange & light brown.but blend it properly.for the evening use foundation base which blends well with your skin type.use little bit gliter on the sides of your eyes & chick bone.for shadow & blusher you can use bronze tones.golds are not for you.but if you are very dairing ,then be brave for using shades of red.but it may be little bit dangerous too,if you can't carry yourself properly.always put on same make up on back of your ear, neck, shoulder, otherwise it will look like a mask.

choose colors that complement your skin...
wear tan foundation or glittery tan face powder in the evening
chocolate/brown, pink, old rose lipsticks are ok
red blush on is a no no
pink blush on is ok... apply it lightly
don't wear heavy make up
choose a foundation that turns invisible when applied
to your face
apply foundation down to your neck and cleavage area.
oh, the eyeshadows... different shades of brown.
i dont want your face to be colorful. i like dark-skinned
girls features be emphasized by these colors that i chose.
brown and black mascara are good.
apply thin eyeliner too.
hmmm... i would like to put make up on your face.

I think light make is better. But main thing is ur skin should be good. If ur skin is gud then even dark complexion looks great. Apply make up which highlight ur best features in ur face.

dark skinned people should use a shimmery base makeup that does not shine earthly shades like copper dark pink looks excellent on them dark black eyeliner and same earthly and warm shades for eye makeup also lipsticks should be of auburn colour wine red or fleshly brown dark skinned are bleesed skin they hav little problems so experiment with shades that stay close to the beautiful dark tone of your skin.
