35x^2+40x+5
=5(7x^2+8x+1)
=5(7x^2+7x+x+1)
=5(7x(x+1)+1(x+1))
=5(7x+1)(x+1)

multiply 35 and 5 and see what times what equals 40x.
as so:
35*5=175
35x+5x=40x
35x^2+35x+5x+5
35x(x+1)+5(x+1)
(35x+5)(x+1)
and I forgot to factor COMPLETELY.. haha sorry
so the final answer would beee.. 5(7x+1)(x+1)

Yes, the above steps are correct, but if you factor completely, meaning factoring out the greatest common factor, your answer will actually be 5(7x+1)(1x+1)
