I first plucked my own eyebrows when I was 12 and boy did I regret it! Mine were all wrong and it took me many different wax appointments and many years of doing them myself to perfect my shape. I also do them myself because I break out from the wax, but I digress. I highly recommend having them professionally plucked first because truly the first time (virgin brows) is crucial in beginning to have a well-shaped brow. It’s easier to pluck yourself once an eyebrow is already established. Whatever you decide, these are the steps to take for a do-it-yourself job at any level of expertise:
1. Start with a pencil, a bright room, and a mirror…oh and of course tweezers (slanted are the best for beginners) and a clean brow brush. You may also consider using some toner to clean the area and later, when you’ve practiced and are satisfied with the brow you’ve created, you can add small brow scissors to your shaping regime. Using scissors helps a lot but don’t try it until you’re older and more experienced plucking your own brows. Perhaps that can be your next question.
2. Pluck the Unibrow and Find the Inner Edges:
Line up the pencil with edge of your right nostril and the inner most part of your right eye. This will help you find the beginning or inner edge of your brow. Pluck anything that falls directly to the left (or right depending on which brow you’re plucking) of the pencil, which ends up being the skin between eyebrows, also known as the “unibrow” area. Do the same on the left side. Be sure not to pluck beyond the right (or left) of the pencil otherwise your eyebrows may end up looking too far apart. The trick is to ensure your eyebrows begin where your nostril ends and your eye begins.
3. Find Your Natural Arch:
Take the pencil and line it up with your right nostril and angle it so it meets the center of your eye and lays flat over your right eyebrow. Below where the pencil and the eyebrow meet is your natural brow arch, a vital element in a well shaped eyebrow. Once you’ve lined up your pencil you can begin plucking carefully to shape the brow towards the arch. Make sure not to pluck the brow to thin, which you can ensure by pausing and checking where you are plucking and where you want to go. The trick is to keep the most inner part of your brow thicker then the most outer part. You may even consider outlining your desired brow shape/design with an eyeliner pencil to help you maintain the thickness you desire. Think of it as coloring, but in this case, plucking within the lines. Follow this step on your left eyebrow. And remember, thicker is always better when you’re starting because it’s much harder to grow it back once it’s gone.
4. Find the Outer Edge:
Take your pencil and line it up with…you guessed it, the outer edge of your nostril and the most outer edge of your right eye. Now you’ve found your brow outer edge and the final area to maintain in a well-shaped eyebrow. Like I said before this outer edge should become the thinnest part of the brow but make sure not to go too thin because you’ll end up with shorter then normal eyebrows, which just looks funny. The trick is to create a brow that extends over and a little past your eye.
Final Advice:
Never shave or wax them yourself because that’s just a disaster waiting to happen. Always have a plan and design in mind before taking your next step. If you accidentally create a bare spot invest in a brow pencil or similar product and fill it in, but make sure to match it to your brow color. Never, under any circumstances pluck an eyebrow that is one thickness from start to finish and never remove your brows completely and pencil them in, that's just tacky. When in doubt let it grow out and start over. Flip through beauty magazines and find a few brows that you like and use them as models. Always take baby steps when plucking because you don’t want to over pluck or end up with mismatched brows. Before plucking, stare at your eyebrows and find your natural shape, every girl has it, even if it’s not ideal you should always strive for it because it will be the best match for your face.

To start and avoid pain, hold a warm washcloth to your eyebrows for about a minute before you begin. This loosens them up and makes it not hurt when you pluck. Then use tweezers and just grab the ones that seem way away from all the others. Get used to that before you start shaping. You should pluck from bottom going up. This will create an arch. Never pluck from the top first. Good luck. : )

Years ago, I read an article on this subject. It said to first pluck any offending hairs between the brows. Then attack the brows themselves, always from beneath the browline; never pluck above. You'll find plenty of stray hairs beneath the brow once you start looking. Get rid of them! You'll have clean brows in no time. But don't get carried away! Wait until the next day and see what you think of the job. You may want to continue, or you may realize that it's just right.

Since this is your first time plucking them, you should let someone who is more skilled do it for you. That way you can learn the right way and it will be easier to pluck them the second time because all you will have to do is basically clean them up. I must worn you this is a painful experience at first, well worth it when you look in the mirror.

You're 12 years old and you already want to pluck your eyebrows? Sweetie, stay as naturally beautiful as you can right now. Worry about plucking your eyebrows when you're a little older.

Like others have suggested, get it done the first time at a salon, and then you can tweeze on your own to maintain the look.
There are also templates available in any beauty supply or drugstore, but it's so cheap to have your eyebrows waxed that I wouldn't mess with it.

You go to a professional and have them waxed. For the few stragglers that may appear after that you pull the skin taught, away from your nose - not toward, latch on w/ the tweezers and pull in the direction you are pulling the skin toward. - Actually - just ask the girl that is waxing you. It's available in most hair salons, nail salons, malls....

get your mum to help you so you don't over pluck, or maybe she could help you? Otherwise a beautician or go to a salon to have it done, then you'll know how and what to pluck
