I will be old enough to get a job in a month in washoe county nevada (but i assue the rues should be pretty standard). How do i get my workers permit and what are some good jobs for younger people?

You may be able to get your work permit at school (check in Guidance).
Some good jobs for younger people include:
Library worker
Lifeguard
Fast food worker
Retail worker (teen stores like American Eagle)
Amusement park worker
Child care assistant (check health clubs and daycares)

Suggest you do some reading unless you want to end up like to many people- stuck in a J.O.B. .
1st book (no e book) 'What color is Your Parachute?'
2nd book '48 Days to the job you love' get them read, digest , highlight, understand and act on them.
Then look for some thing you like to do first.
Go to the companies you are interested in and apply.
If nothing comes up go to fast foods and learn all you can so that info can be applied to your next job.

Check with your school's guidance counseling department. They should be able to hook you up with how to get the permit and maybe even a list of local businesses that hire teens. What do you have to lose???
