This is one of my pet peeves also. There should be nothing to press for English. When I was in Italy there were people who spoke English but if there were not it was my problem. There was no one there sorry that I did not speak the language and there was nothing they were going to do about to help me. If I could not get my point across it was just plain too bad for me.

Are you aware that things alway change no matter how hard you try to keep it iat a status quo? So this country changes, and the people of the country change. And so does language. Even English changes over time.

It's beginning to look like the foreigners are taking it over, isn't it? I think if you're in America, you need to speak English.
