Get a Walkman or CD player and your favorite music, that will help allot! also start out slow, don't push yourself, keep adding extra time slowly or increase the intensity/speed you are jogging.

First, turn the TV off and keep it off. Unplug it from the wall. Cut the power cord.
You might also do the same to you computer.
Now that you have less things to take up your time, pick a time of day that you would go jogging (or walking). Do it at that time every day or every other day. Walk for a mile one day at a fast walk. Measure your speed. Walk the next day at a faster pace for maybe two miles. Rest the next. Just keep building on the previous day's attempt. Have a long term goal or a reason for jogging. Tell others what your specific goal is and the date you want to acheive it. Keep telling someone how much closer you're getting to your goal. If you are telling someone, they can provide motiviation or guilt so you keep working towards it.

Rob MiniMarts...when the workers chase you, you will be motivated to run/jog so you don't get caught!!!

Actually, I just joined a gym a month ago. You have to set goals for yourself. Try walking a certain distance with a friend. Each time you go for the walk, try to complete it 30 seconds or a minute faster than the previous time. Eventually, in order to beat your previous times, you will find yourself jogging/running. Give yourself a reward (a movie, or a shopping trip) every 3-4 times you lower your time.

Good Luck!!!

when i first started jogging...

i only jogged a short distance since i was still plump..

by the end of the week, i was pretty excited that i was able to jog a little further...

therefore gradually increase the your distance of jogging. . . .
if you cant jog then walk. . . brisk walking works too !

Buy new running sneakers!

It's hard to get started. The first few weeks you'll be hurting. But, do it slowly, and keep on doing it, and you'll get addicted.

You'll feel like a new person.

good luck.
