you can get computer programs that can bring back files deleted of computers and as far as i remember i saw one once for bringing back photos on a digital camera. so there are probably a few out there. i've used a few of the ones that retrieve deleted files on hard drives. theirs alot out their thats freeware cant remember any of their names so you would have to search from scratch on the net. be aware that some as i experienced can only retrieve them if they were placed in a root folder but some that will find deeper sub folders so you probably have to try a few. also dont use the computer or camera till you retrieve them as because the way a computer deletes a file is it deletes just the first letter of its name and eventually when new files are written to the device they write over the top of the old ones.good luck.

If you burn a disc you still have it. You can check the internet cafe for it, but some with clean up their hard drives periodically.
Nothing actually get trapped on a hard drive. Just try to remember if you downloaded it somewhere, or if you accidently deleted it, etc.
There are data recovery businesses that will get back the video for you, assuming that you have only deleted the file and they have not been overwritten by any new data. Hauling the internet cafe computer to a data recovery place is going to be a bit difficult, so try with your camera first. I warn you that it is expensive and could cost a a few hundreds bucks. Some places will only charge you if they recover anything, otherwise you pay nothing.

i think i would have someone look at the hard drive that supposedly knows what they are doing. i know there's a way to get back lost files, but i'm too technologically challenged to understand how to do it.

it only cost me $80 bucks when i took my exs computer in for them to pull everything in the hard drive that one thought was eraced. its not that hard, but i would just have a computer store do it. if you know the exact date you may have "lost" it the hourly labor wont add up as much.
