Depends on the individual situation. The primary money earner will end up giving more to be honest with you and whoever has the children usually end up with the house, the better vehicle etc.

It depends which jurisdiction you are in. Different countries and different states have different rules.
In general, if you don't have kids, then the court will consider what you brought into the marriage. So, if you can prove that you put 75% of the money into the car/house/bank account, then there's a good chance you will get 75% of them when you split up. But you do have to be able to prove it.
If there are kids, then the court will consider their welfare above everything, and it's quite possible you will get much less than 50% if the kids are going to stay with your partner.

Depends on the state you live in, depends on what you "brought to the marriage" or if you jointly acquired the assets, depends on a lot of things.
Heck, you could always give up 80% if you wanted to. You wouldn't be held to the 50% option then.

That depends on what you, your ex, lawyer and courts agree to. You can fight for everything as can your ex. If you both try to get everything your divorce is going to take a long time and it will be ugly.
You both should to to counseling for this. There are special counseling people to help you and our ex to work this out.
Other than that you will have to fight in court and hope for the best.

It depends on the state you live in and the lawyer you have.
The amount is fairly typical. However, make sure that for the same percentage of assets you give up that were jointly acquired, you also give up the same percentage of debt that was jointly acquired.
Equality in it's purest form.

It depends on whether you acquired it while you were married or before. Also depends on the reason for divorce and whether you had a prenup. Might also depend on where you live. Good luck. I've been there and it sucks.
