This is a method in which is used if a match is stopped because of rain in cricket.

WHAT THEY DO
Like u made 200 runs in 50 overs
and now the other team is playing and there score is 100 in 20 overs and it suddenly rains that match cannot be played any more so they compare both the runs with the overs that the last team is playing like in 20 overs they are having 100 runs and u were having 99 then u lose by 1 run

The run rate of both the teams at the time of stoppage of match will be taken into account. If the match has been played for 20 overs or more, the match will be awarded to the team whose run rate was better than the other team at the number of overs played at the time of stoppage of the match
