How about if the question is DVD-to-desktop? Rippers abound and/or varying favourite methods of doing that, forget about "To Palm" because PDAs are powerful enough to play desktop quality player files.

High-end Palm OS 5 would have better performance over same specification Pocket PC, I own a Palm Tungsten T3 and iPaq 2215 they both runs Intel XScale PXA255 400 MHz with 64 megs of memory Palm beats iPaq senseless in playing a desktop quality DivX; find TCPMP for the player.

But choose to produce a desktop quality file that fits PDA setup in terms of storage and screen size.

I have tried every DVD-to-Palm software, and the best and easiest to use is Palm Media Studio:

It is well worth the $25. I have 15 of my DVDs on my LifeDrive.
