What do you want to know more about?

Question

I was talking to my sister and she said she dosn't know much about the gay/lesbian life. What kind of things do people want to know about. Besides sex?

I'll answer some of the questions on my blog.

I would ask lesbians particularly:

1) What was your relationship like with your mother?

2) What was your relationship like with your father?

OK. But I would like to read your answers. Where is your blog?

It's funny, when someone initially finds out you are gay, a list pours out..."Do you know this gay guy? Do you know this lesbian? My cousin's gay, do you know him?" Those are the questions that I hear most often, so don't fall into that category because we are all NOT interconnected.

Asking someone about coming out and how they knew is a good way to start...Asking them about family issues and how they feel about governmental policy is also a good way to start. Many people feel ashamed to ask these basic questions to a gay or a lesbian, but the majority of us our open books...Ask away!

Gosh, there's really not all the much to know. We get up, we do our daily stuff, we sleep.
What we do inbetween waking and sleeping doesn't define our sexuality, nor does our sexuality define what we do or who we are.
It's just simply a cog in the big wheel of life.

My personal life is similar to many of my straight "stay-at-home-mom" friends. It's actually less like most of my other lesbian friends simply because I'm a mother of a teenage son.

You said your sister said 'she didn't know much about your queer sexual preference'... NOT that she had any questions about it. So who do you think really needs a diagram to show how 2 of the same sex might perform sex?? Why are so many gays seemingly convinced that the hetero-world has any real interest in your activities? Honestly.... there's only so many things that 2 people, matched set or not, can do with/to each other and most are quite the same!

That's a good question. A good general question for you could be "What exactly do you expect from us, straight people?" I mean, apart from the obvious, like not discriminating you, and so on. What mistakes do we make, out of ignorance, rather than out of malice?

And another question, just for curiosity. How do homosexual people feel about people of the other sex? I mean how do gays feel about women and how do lesbians feel about men?

well they are no diffrent form the strate people there just lables.

I do have one question about Lesbian's are they realy true same sex. I mean they use the male parts to still please them??? so are they real Bi?/? sorry I never real knew the answer to that ^_^

to answer your quesiton They just find love in the same sex as them. You can love a girl / guy but then you can be in love with a guy/ or girl. SO they are the same as you and me

except for who we are attracted to, we are the same as everyone else. for some reason, those who don't bother to get to know us think we're all obsessed with sex. that's only a small part of who we are....just like straight people.

How can I talk to girls and how do I know if they are interested?
