I've never been to an American concert, but I recently started liking American rock music. Help???

***comfortable shoes**** my first concert I wore sketchers shoes and my poor feet hurt so bad sketchers have no padded insoles so it was like standing on a cement floor for 3 hours ......Ouch
Wear any cool and comfortable clothes . Bodies pack tight up by the stage get sweaty really fast too

I need you to define American Rock a bit, but...
Jeans, a t shirt (maybe of the band you're going to see, maybe a different band of the same musical style) and comfortable boots. Leather jacket optional but a pain to carry around.
I personally wear stylish but comfortable clothes, I'm liking camo right now so something is patterned that way. It gets hot hot hot at a concert so short sleeves. I still wear my old Doc's because I love them.
Do your make up the way you usually do, maybe a little more eyeliner. Hair must be freeflowing. It'll be a mess by the end of the night so don't try too hard. And if it's not a mess then you didn't bang your head enough!

if your going to bang your head wear your hair down to get the full affect, but if you're not a head banger it doesn't really matter.
For makeup don't wear any eye make up that isn't water proof, it usually gets really hot at concerts.

That depends on whether or not you want to go backstage. As a guy, I just wear jeans and a t-shirt, but I know a girl who gets a brand new outfit before every concert she goes to, and she looks like a total tramp. She always gets to go backstage, though.

quick tip stay out of the mosh pit unless you like being beat cross eyed and felt up by guys you don't know they will strip you and fast there is a lot of kick a** stuff to do thought
