You know, when we're angry or hurt by someone, we want to get back at that person and in the "heat of the moment" we sometimes say things we really don't mean. It's strange, but most often this happens with the ones we love the most. I think this is what you're describing here.

Just let things cool down for a little while and when the right time comes, you'll both be able to put this behind you and get on with your friendship. You may even say something like, "you know, you're my friend and I like you, but you hurt me when you told me to go and die."

He or she will probably say something like, "I'm sorry. I didn't mean it. Can we be friends again?'' Hang in there, it's going to be alright. "Time heals all wounds."
