What was the name of toys-r-us, before It changed to this name, all I remember was a picture of a face wearing a red-white & blue tophat, smiling with huge teeth (sign on building) and something about laughing, and anyone know what year this was?

wow, If I had hadn't clicked on the link, I would have said your all wrong, mmhh...Im so confused, I was born in 66, and I remember the tv ad, saying we are changing our name, maybe Im a vampire?

'Children's Bargain Town' Started in 48 the store only sold furniture and later started adding toys. The name was changed to 'Toys R Us' around 58 and has stayed such ever since.
