22300 / pi = 7098

square root( 7098) = 84.25 (radius)

84.25 * 2 * pi =

529.4 feet circumference

You should know that the area of a circle is: pi x radius squared
And that the circumference is: 2 x pi x radius

So we have area which is 22,300.
So.... 22,300 = pi x radius

Solve this for the radius. (I'll let you do the math)

After you get the radius, plug it into the circumference.
Circumference = 2 x pi x radius

And the answer is the circumference of the lake! And circumference would be in miles.

Hope that is a better answer than someone just giving you the answer.

Divide 22,300 by pi, then get the square root, mulitply by 2, then by pi again.
