That is what I call a "soul-less" cookie. Enjoy the cookie, no reflection on you, it's all on the cookie.
This question was asked yesterday, I loved the best answer.

Means the company messed up is all! My mom had the same experience the night before she had to go in for a 15 hour open heart surgery. She was a little worried when she had no fortune, I asked the waitress for another cookie and she got a great fortune, said she would have a very very long life. She made it through the surgery and is still here 5 years later.

Now if you want to hear a spooky story...This girl went to a fortune teller and the teller gave her a piece of paper and told her don't open it or read it until you get home. On the way home, she was in a car accident and died. When the police officer was looking through her pockets for ID he found the note and opened it. What did it say? It said, "You will not make it home alive."

It means that somewhere a the fortune cookie bakery, your fortune was either not put in or fell out in the giant bag of fortune cookies given to restaurants. I once ate a bunch of cookies from a bag when I was little and, there are lots without fortunes, well, more than expected. So don't worry. Unless you asked for another one and it was empty too and for all of time your fortune cookies were empty, I think it's just a bit of odd luck.

I can only think of 3 reasons why there's no fortune in your cookie:

1. It means that the baker forgot to insert the fortune paper in the dough when he baked them.

2. The shop ran out of fortunes to tell that's why the baker just baked the remaining doughs without the fortunes.

3. The baker didn't miss inserting the fortune. It's really there (maybe it was really small) but you might have eaten it with the cookie.

Whichever case, you shouldn't fret. Just ask for another cookie. Happy eating!!! =)

Ever had a jelly donut with no jam inside?

Think of it like this: the mechanical process they go through when being produced, is not infallible. Machines break down; they also run out of jam.

The process that created your fortune cookie just ran out of paper at some point in the manufacturing of the cookies.

If it was hand-made, someone probably thought "Heh, heh. I bet if I leave out the "fortune", some naive, gulliable sod will take it as a portend of doom for sure!"

"What this means" is simple. Get out more, and stop believing in everything possible....and realise that things in your life will only get better as soon as you start seeing the lessons life is trying to show you. There are no problems in life - only challenges to overcome and learn from.

;)

This is the best fortune cookie of all! No joke! You will probably think I am making this up, but what it truly means is that you get to choose and make your own fortune. It is a very good sign. Congratulations dude, you are pretty much unstoppable if you set your sights on a goal that you want to attain and start working toward it now.

It means the machine got stuck. About 40 or so cookies go empty, then the machine gets unstuck and the next 5 or 6 cookies get STUFFED with multiple fortunes!!!!

I actually agree 100% with Trip S with the answer that its the best cookie to get. It was told to me from my Buddism master to recieve a 'empty cookie' means that you have good luck coming your way and much wizdom to hold onto. Many things will be shown to you, some you will accept and some you will look at and let go. The heavens above holds no limits to your choices...so now is a time to prepare yourself to being ready -so the spirit will gift you what you've placed effort for and you will gift back a part of your knowledge with spirit in exchange for new gift.

It means nothing. I saw how they make fortune cookies and they just throw it in there sometimes they miss. I don't let a dumb piece of paper in my cookie predict my future. I mean it is a cookie.

It came directly from China since China does not give fortunes in the fortune cookie. This is an American tradtiion.

if you got a fortune cookie without a fortune, then this means that your life could be ending soon.
fortune cookies must contain something that describes your future.
the only way i can see it is that you have no future to predict or describe.
start thinking about anything dangerous in your life and stay on the safe side of things. ;)
