Having been there on business as a side trip, I visited a town in
the Alps called Grindenwald. It is at the foot of The Eiger and Jungfrua peaks and is totally amazing! Exactly what you would envision for a Swiss country town with Chalets up the hillsides, ski lifts, amazing little shops, pubs and restaurants and everyone was walking around with skis or toboggans. It was snowing that day flakes the size of half dollars. Once you are in the Alps, there are so many other options too. So very memorable. I'd go back in a minute.

When I lived in South Dakota, it was a little place called Roughlock Falls...it was quiet and peaceful especially at night when all the tourists would leave......
