That's the link you need to contact the MO corrections department.
The department does not have an automated offender search tool available for public use. You may email the Department with your inquiry and a response will be provided to you, usually within 24 hours of receipt during regular business hours.
*Provide the offender's full name;
*Be sure the offender's name is spelled correctly;
*Provide the offender's inmate number, date of birth and/or social security number, if available;
*Be sure your exact request is clear;
*Do not submit your request more than once.

And, since I'm sure the attorney needs DOC#'s on a fairly regular basis, it would be a kindness is your mom provided him with this link.

There was a national (federal) prison system where you could get inmate numbers. Or you can check the court files where he was convicted and see if there is a reference there; or you could check the federal marshall's office where he was convicted...

Just go to the court house where he was sentenced they'll tell you what prison or call one of them in your area & tell them his name & date of birth you'll have to talk with someone in the information office & they'll give you the inmate number no problem.Good Luck
