I have a friend that really can't get along with his parents and if he can get out will move in with my dad and I. How old does he have to be to get out without having to go through the emancipation process. It used to be 18, but now everyone is saying it's 17. He turns 17 on the 20th so we need to know.

18 years of age - but if u get along with them, why leave? be smart. work, live with them and save on the rent and bills. pocket your ernings and save save save. of course you can be nice and help out by giving them $100 a month.... you will never regret it. Now, if parents are jerks, maybe you should ask them to move out ! ! ! what's theirs is yours... by law....

Are his parents in agreement with him moving out, and into your house? If he's not out of high school and is under 18, I don't think he can emancipate himself, but if living arrangements can be agreed upon by his parents and your dad...that would serve the same purpose.

that's 17 for boys and girls. you may legally runaway on the age of 17, no longer 18 interior the state of Missouri and a confirm won't be able to do something approximately it as you're legally seen an grownup. you may no longer enter into contracts or apartment leases till you're 18. additionally, in case you commit a criminal offense at 17 in Missouri you would be charged as an grownup in spite of in case you reside with your mothers and dads or no longer.
