Depends. If you believen Creationism, then it's further proof that you're an idiot. Otherwise, it shows us who we were and where we came from. Early diets, migration habits, social structures, early religion, etc.

Remember hearing report how much they learned about what early humans ate. Not sure on this one, but think they talked about how they traveled farther than expected.
