It seems to be African teams are so random, you never know. Cameroon wasn't even in the World Cup this year, but I still think of them as one of the best countries for football in the world. So right now, who knows?

Well, will they qualify? Africa is a tough qualifying continent and there will be one less place with hosts South Africa taking one of the five.
Exceptionally well? Geez, did any team at the WC? It was pretty boring this time around with few goals. Ghana, to me, were just OK. They certainly did not light things up like Cameroon did in 1990 or even Nigeria in 1994 or '98.
Ghana did not come out of nowhere, dude. They have been possibly africa's most successful national side in the Africa Nations Cup and also its domestic sides in African club competition. It's just they finally figured out how to qualify for the World Cup Finals.

Maybe. I think Australia did better than Ghana. Ghana lost to Italy 2-0 and Brazil 3-0 while Australia lost to Brazil 2-0, but they could have defeated Italy and they could have gone to quarterfinal, but the last minute penaly kick really sucked.

Turkey went to the Semifinal in World Cup 2002. Every year a new team springs surprises just like France in this year's world cup. But that's about it. They come and go. Glory of 15 mintues.
