freecycle.org Just go there, find the group and your area and join it. It is free to join. Everything posted on there has to be free. It is legal, you don't have to worry about spam, you never know what someone will give away. (furniture, clothes, cds,etc.) I got two matching desks not even a week ago from there. You can also post things you don't want anymore.

go to almost any manufacturer website. even for going there you usually get samples or free coupons etc
