Probably pride or envy. to get past wanting what others have to dislike them for what they have or the fact that they show it off. is pride just as well as actually having the stuff and flaunting it. the grass is always greener on the other side that is how the saying goes, and many Americans believe that. they are never satisfied with what they have and always are too proud to admit it. they get preoccupied with others rather than improving their own nature and being satisfied with what they have. Pride and envy drive a man crazy for no reason. If we didn't want it we would be happier, and more able to graciously and honestly be happy for others victories.
