My car warns me when I have about 50 KM of driving to do b4 it runs out of gas. So when it beeps at me I fill up.

I've heard that it's bad for fuel injection engines to use the last gas in the tank coz it can contain the dregs - rubbish that gets sucked into the jets and clogs them up.

I let it go all the way down, just like Kramer did in that Seinfeld episode. I reset my odometer so I have an idea of how many miles I typically get on a full tank.

My gas gage doesn't work, so I have to guess. I fill it up when it gets about 250 miles on the trip odometer. Or if the little light comes on. That still works.
