I was about to say no... then I realised I have.
My mom and I were flying back from Florida to Montreal. There was a huge storm in Toronto so alot of planes were delayed or canceled. Our plane in Florida was delayed by 2 hours due to the storm in Toronto and by the time we made it to Montreal to catch our final flight home.. we had 15 minutes to get to the gate. Well it didnt work out, we didn't make it in time.
oo but wait.. here's the funny part! My mother totally freaks out about this whole thing. And goes into hysterics, with crying and confussion. Im left (totally calm, and 13 years old) to find out what's going on and make alternative arrangements. I had to talk to the attendent on duty about what we were sopposed to do. (she was dealing with the whole mess of the storm and alot of cancelled flights) and she gave me a number to call for a hotel that gave discounts to people who miss their flight at a time such as this. And that there would be a shuttle to pick us up. I then called the hotel made reservations and found out were to meet the shuttle. (be reminded that this was a place I didn't know, and alot of people either spoke french or spoke poor english with an accent) Anyway, I managed to get my mom to the hotel and while she went to get us some food at the hotel restaurant, I phoned the airport to see when our flight left the next day.
It was an exciting trip!

I once booked an unusual routed mileage run, where I flew out of a different airport than I returned to (I have three major airports within a 45 minute drive of home) to score a really cheap fare, but forgot the variance the morning of. Found out when checking in at airport that there was no flight at the time I thought. Pulled my itinerary out to show the flight, then noticed my mistake. Gave a sheepish smile with an "oops". There was a flight from that airport within two hours which let me catch the next leg. The ticket agent gave me the choice of standby (where I would be put on a list and take my chance at the gate) or a guaranteed seat for a $25 fee. I was comfortable taking the chance with my status and not paying, the Ticket Agent smiled, and seeing how many open seats were on her screen and my status, just gave me my boarding pass with the seat right there instead of at the gate--she did her duty trying to get more revenue for the airline, was I was too savvy with my experience.

I have only flown once, I was terrified, if I would have missed the plane, I really would have been upset.

Only because it was a connecting flight and the first leg was delayed.
What happened?
They put me on a later flight and proceeded to lose my luggage, of course.

I've not, but I know plenty of people who have. They simply rebooked their flight at the airport gate - and got on a later flight.

Yes, but it was not my fault. It was airlines problem and I didn't get a clear answer from the airlines why their flight was not on time.

NO, but had some close calls. Do people make you mad when they show up late and ask to cut in line at the security screening?
