3, 4, 5, 6, ....., 10
a(n) = n + 2

(This is arithmetic, since the pattern is that the numbers add 1 each time.)

2.)

2, 4, 8, 16, ..., 64
a(n) = 2^ n

(This is geometric, since the pattern is that the numbers are multiplied by 2 each time.)
