i'm doing work right now and i need to know quickly whether or not an object will sink or float if it's density is higher than the liquid. for example if the density of an egg is 1.03 g/ml will it sink or float in water if it is 1 g/ml. i need an answer quickly and this is due tomorrow!

if the density of an object (an egg) is larger than that of the liquid (water) then it will sink.

it will sink

Submerged objects displace their volume in the fluid. The density of an object is its mass per unit volume. Objects float when their density is less than the fluid. It is because the downward pressure of the object's weight is less than the upward pressure of the fluid at that depth.
