You know for the ceramic glass top, the cleaner says not to get it in your eyes but it says contains silica. Aren't you not supposed to breathe in silica dust or is that different here?

I'm tired of holding my breath while I clean my stove! thanks.

I don't think silica dust is toxic to breathe but if it is you still do not have anything to worry about because there is no "dust" to contend with. The silica in the cleaner adhears to the glass to protect it from scrarching and conditions the glass for future cleaning.

You will breathe in more silica than used to clean your stovetop on a day at the beach as sand is almost pure silica.

If I'm correct you are talking about ceramic stove top top cleaner that is in a cream form. I use a cleaner of that type on my range too. The silica is in the cream as an abrasive so you won't be breathing any dust in.I only use it for the hard to remove burned on spots.First I try to get as much off with a Mr clean magic eraser. This won't scratch the surface. Don't use any abrasive cleaners on the top that will scratch it.After that I use the polish to clean the rest of the top applying it with a folded up paper towel and finally polishing it to a shine. If your worried about it Menards Lowes and Home Depot all handle cleaners for ceramic top ranges .Hope I've helped Good Luck !
