I shop without a list. I just shop when I feel like making a certain type of food and I don't have the ingredient for.

Usually with a list of items I need, and the store with the best prices for those items. And sometimes I do buy offlist, because I see something in the store I forgot I needed, or sometimes the bakery or deli is really appealling(but only at some stores).

If I have a lot of items to buy, I use a list. If it's 5 or less, I can remember them (either using acronyms, making a story, or making them rhyme) without a list.

with a list, although I rarely use it. I go from aisle to aisle. I only refer to my list when I'm finished shopping to make sure I got everything I was supposed to.
