I have rare type O negative blood, and I wish to sell it for some quick cash. Does anyone know how rates go for this blood type, or where I could sell it?

As far as I know, you can sell plasma but not blood. A plus for selling your plasma is that it only takes 2 days for it to replenish itself, so you can do it 3 times a week. That goes for about $25/ pint of plasma which takes about an hour to draw. But you can donate blood and draw plasma during the same time period, so why don't you sell some plasma and to even it out drop by a hospital and donate some of that rare commodity blood of yours?:) I'm sure someone out there would be very grateful:)

You can't sell your blood but you can sell your blood plasma. Most people "donate" it but do NOT realize that it does NOT go to where you think it does. While "Some" of the "donated" blood is gifted out MOST of it is SOLD to blood banks and then resold to hospitals. Places like Red Cross take in donated blood and use it as their merchandise to sell for cash. They are NOT really doing anything bad because then they turn around and use that cash for people in need. Don't stop donating because of this your blood is as good as cash, it does NOT cost you anything and in turn is indirectly doing a good thing

Well, first off you can't sell your blood..... You should just go donate like the rest of us. Your blood type is rare but not that rare..... If someone really needs it they will just go to a hospital and get a transfusion.

It's illegal to sell and buy blood. And besides, we all have an extra to DONATE to the hospital these days.(just a pint)
AND (^^) you get free cookies. Why not? Help people out by DONATING.

check your local yellow pages.. they usually buy only the plasma and give you back the red blood cells
IF you truly want to be a good Samaritan .. donate your blood to the American Red Cross.. (look up via google for location)
