in our society, no. women are looked as a way of pleasure whether she's walking down the street or in the work place. when most men talk to women, focus on the body more than what's on the woman's mind. this is partially because the type of clothings that women wear today, which is close to anything. think of it, if a woman is wearing a lowcut shirt with a skirt, is the man going to listen to her or look at her? you know the answer. women claim to be "free" but instead are bound eternally to be a source of pleasure for men. women can't assume the roal of a mother, aunt, sister, grandmother or anything else because in the eyes of men shes just another end to satisfy his means. once he's done, he'll throw her out like yesterdays trash and move to the next female on legs. it is sad to see this, but thats how it is done. women will never truly be free, equal or be respected for they have to say as long as they walk around provoking these sexual feelings, whether intentionally or unintentionally.

It's a step in the right direction us muddy men are taking.
You've really come a long way and earned every inch of it.
I think a lot of it is due to women not standing up for themselves in Businesses, schools, Government, Job markets, professions ect.
It's fact that aside from brute strenght there is little men can do that women can not do.
With the influx of so many people of middle eastern heritage (as well as others) where women are mere property has set the drive for female equality back soem what.
Every person who would deny their own women equality demeans all women, and all women who accept his role as custodian of the female sexes enfringes on the rights of all humanity.

Even when there is mutual respect a woman will never be treated as an equal. Male and female have different roles in society. Even as successful business women we will not be equal.

IN WHAT WAY TO YOU WANT TO BE EQUAL TO A MAN? CAN'T YOU BE SATISFIED BEING A WOMAN? DO YOU KNOW HOW GREAT BEING A WOMAN IS? I DO NOT WANT TO BE EQUAL TO A MAN IN ANY SENSE FOR GOD CREATED ME SO MUCH STRONGER AND SO MUCH MORE ABLE TO DEAL WITH SO MANY DIFFERENT SITUATIONS, HONEY MOST MEN COME TO THEIR WIVES TO GET HELP. WHY WOULD I WANT TO CHANGE THAT. THERE IS ALWAYS A GREAT WOMAN BEHIND A GREAT MAN AND I DO NOT NEED THE LIME LIGHT. I WANT TO BE LOVED AND PROVIDED FOR AND CHERISHED MORE THAN I CARE ABOUT BEING EQUAL AND I CAN WORK ALSO BUT TO BE A WOMAN IS A PROUD THING AND MOST MEN RESPECT WOMEN THE JOB FORCE IS A TOTAL DIFFERENT FIELD AND I DO NOT HAVE THE NEED TO COMPETE

Some women a less equal, some are as equal, and some are more than equal.

Respect, by either sex, is earned. If you deserve respect, but are not getting it, you need to distance yourself from the oppressor.

Regardless of whether all men will learn to respect women, women are already equal to men. They don't have to respect us for that to be true. Your job is to demand respect and accept nothing less. If you defer to others to be equal, you put yourself down on a level that you were never meant to be.

If women actually believed that they were equal to men then how come they don't protest the Boston Marathon which has a separate class for women?

I love the question. I'd like to put women in charge for 100 years first, get some things straightened out, then throttle back down to 50-50. Women have so much to offer. My wife and I are equals.

I respect all women. Hey a woman gave me life and took care of me. I believe someday it will happen.

Don't they say behind ever powerful man, is a even stronger woman.

Women pull the strings and men act as the puppets.
