Choose a quote, from either a famous person or from a newspaper article and link the quote to how it inspired you to be in this job, e.g a quote from Mother Theresa and how it makes you want to contribute to the general well-being of fellow human beings because you are hugely inspired by the work she does. Just an idea! Largely, you have to look deep within yourself and ask yourself what is the real motivation behind this career choice.

Start off:

What is a nurse? A nurse is someone who helps ..... Describe a nurse & what she does and then tell them a nurse describes what you want to do. When you were young, did you want to be a nurse. What made you want to be one? Is your mom a nurse? Do you enjoy helping others? Do you like to make others laugh or smile when they are sick. Do you want to learn about medicine? Have you always wanted to work in a hospital environment? These are the things you should mention and that should get you going. When someone falls off their bike for example, and had a wound, you enjoy knowing what to do to fix it. If someone were sick, you would know what medicine to give them. When a nurse is at the hospital, they take your blood pressure, weigh you, and answer any questions you have or have for a doctor an you enjoy that part of being a nurse...stuff like that. Hope this helps. :)

Start it off with some heartwarming anecdote from your past, and make it sound more like you're telling a story at first.

"Helping people is the most important thing a person can do," my father once told me. I was eleven years old. We were in the garage, where I was helping him sand down two by fours that we were going to use to build a doghouse for our elderly neighbor's Beagle dog....

This example is no materpiece, of course, but you can really make your essay stand out from the rest by making it personal.
