The new AIM sucks. It has all kinds of background software that kills processor resources. Use Quickbuddy. Just do a google for quickbuddy. Its a web version of AIM that doesn't install all the crap. Its not called quickbuddy anymore but that search will get you what you need.
All AOL products suck!
