How do I do my own technical deletion of garbage collected in my computer?

I have seen a technician take garbage out of my computer by hitting certain buttons at the the first start up of the computer. I would like to know how.

Do a clean disk thru start button, accessories, system tools,then go to www.webroot.com they have a free 30 day trial of windows washer and spyware remover. Launch a virus removal scan and when you are done defragment your computer. This should free up a good percentage of your memory.

You can click run on the start button and then type msconfig but you need to be really careful you don't delete something crucial to the computer start up.

Try a programe called a-squared free, it a free programe, before running any programe like this it is a good idea to make a restore point only takes a few seconds.
