Dried salamander flakes aren't bad, though I really do prefer cooking the salamanders with porridge. They soften up nicely in the pot and the whole porridge takes a nicely steamed lizard taste. Much nicer then raisin.

Never even thought of this recipe for porridge. So went out, bought myself a couple of top quality Salamanders, came home prepared the old porridge, and started to add said Salamanders. The f/ckers bit my hand then my nose then my knob ate the f/cking porridge, Sh/t on the floor then sh/t in the living room, then came back and sh/t on me, knocked over the fish bowl, set fire to the f/cking house, stole my car and credit cards, then took my wife to cornwall, where they all indulged in a week of prolonged perverted sex activities which I can only guess at and shudder. I have now come to the conclusion that your idea was not one of the best I have heard.
