Before 5 years ago (pre 9/11), I didn't even feel unsafe. I don't think anyone did. If you mean to compare the days after 9/11 vs. today, then yes, I do, within the borders of the U.S.
But feeling safe is the sentiment of a bunny rabbit. It almost makes me feel a little cowardly when I say "I feel safe from these terrorists", I mean they are the hardened, battle experienced ones who know real hardship, and mental toughness. We need the U.S. gov to protect us because we are comfort loving cowards who just want the security (the gov) to keep the party safe from intruders. Its okay for women to speak like that, but men should NEVER utter statements like "I feel safe", only things like "are our women and children safer"
Sorry, but its the truth. If you served in the military, this does not apply to you and I apologize, Im not directing these comments at those brave persons who have served.

No I don't feel any safer, in fact, I think things are going to get worse before they get better.
You have to ask yourself: is it really over?
Do you think that no one else is going to attack us?
Instead of one Saddam Hussain and Osama Bin Laden, now we have at least 100 of each to worry about, and it sure seems like they hate our guts.
So, that makes me afraid. I'm not wondering IF we will be attacked again, I'm worried about when, where and how. The only thing that comforts me is my belief in God.
I know I should be a stronger Christian/person and not be afraid to die, but I don't know how to change that. I'm working on it.

I feel a little safer, yet it's only a matter of time before we're hit again.
