1.) Robert Esche- is in a dogfight for his starting job with Anterro Niittymaki ( Think Cam Ward winning the cup with Carolina); they might not start the season with a clear #1 goalie.
2.) Peter Forsberg- is relatively healthy and was just named team captain.
3.) Dominc Hasek- He will play about 55-60 games and wants days of in order to be fresh for the playoffs. He will be excellent if his chronic groin injury stays in remission. He was 28-10-4 before he got injured at the olympics.

they go threw training camp if Esche does good he'll get the start if Nittymakii does even better he will become number one, remember they have training camp. Peter Forsberg had surgery and the end off last season, they said he wouldn't be back till January 2007, but things are looking really good for him and they said he might start at the begging of the season. Hasek will do what he can, but i think it was a big mistake on picking him up cause he is getting old and his style of play which did help him over his career has caught up to him and that's why he is getting hurt all the time. I'd say he will be out before the holidays.

Esche and Niittamayi are probably going to share the starting role. Forsberg's healthy right now, don;t know if's he's going to be later on in the season. Hasek's back in Detroit and he should be solid in the net until his groin acts up again.

1. Esche is going into camp as the starter, but could lose the spot to Niittymaki.
2. Recent reports have stated that Forsberg will be ready for camp, and does not require surgery on his other (right?) foot.
3. Hasek won't be the Dominator like he was, but will do a capable job.

Chico R. Esche should not be the #1 in Philly as he sucked badly the past two playoff years and at the Olys. the guy who led Finalnd to the Gold Medal game in Torino should be #1--Antero Niittymaki.
Forberg looks good so far. Ankle is fine.
Domonik is not really much more than a character on Japanese TV. "Dominik" Hasek had a good year with Ottawa (.925 save pct is excellent) but got hurt at the Olys. Det stole him. As long as they play him maybe 40 to 50 games only, he'll be rockin' come playoff time. The Sens boned up thinking he was a distraction. He's still all-world, baby!

1. nittymaki will share the duties of goaltending with robert esche. the only way he'd be the starting goalie if nittymaki doen't play too well.
2. forsberg is a good player when he is healthy but his age is a factor in his injuries. he will play a good majority of the games if he is healthy enough.
3. hasek can be one of the best goalies when he is healthy. injuries play a good factor in whether he does play. if he is healthy enough he will play quite a bit and ozzie will be a good backup goalie. i don't think he will win the cup for detroit becuz there are other issuses in detroit besides the goaltending.

(1) Esche - he is the starting goalie, but if he does poorly in his first few games, dont be too suprised to see nittymaki in there.
(2) Forsberg - He hopes to be back in time for the season. He is still testing out his ankles.
(3) Hasek - Dont count on it.

im pretty sure esche will start over nittimaki, forsberg was just named captain of the flyers and they said he had a good chance of being healthy. as for the dominator, he will most likely share the load with osgood. personally, i think he will do alright, if he's not overworked.

you may no longer have picked a greater powerful recent for a hockey fan from Boston. The Bruins and Senators are branch competitors, so as that on my own is an remarkable sell! those communities (like dissimilar rivalries) have dissimilar history and ull in all probability see a minimum of a combat or 2, even yet it rather is going to definately experience like a playoff environment. U did ur daddy precise by using this one, super activity!! =) look me up if ur ever on the West Coast, lol j/ok!!

Esche... not bad and yes I would have him #1
Forsberg: Always sick or injured for years now!
Hasek: Too old, always injured, don't believe in him anymore!
Ask about Huet...
