Every girl wants to wear the best outfit and fashion really depends on what the shops are selling. Try to figure out what you like by seeing what others wear. You cant exactly copy these outfits but it will give you a general outfit. Also ask the shop assistants for advice. Ask them to put together an outfit for you. Right now the fashion is belts, preferalably in red which sit just on top of the stomach under your bust. Try that with a pair of straight legged pants and a nice top.

The previous answerers have said you should wear what makes you comfortable. I agree. But be open to new things, too!
One barrier for lots of girls is money! Don't feel like you have to buy expensive clothes to look nice. I love the clearance racks! Try different colors -- maybe something you've never tried will look GREAT on you! Stock up on versatile things that will go with many other pieces, like tanks and sweaters for layering and solid-color skirts and trousers.
If you want to get into makeup, start natural. Try some concealer on blemishes, a smooth foundation, and some powders on your skin. You don't want that I'M WEARING MAKEUP look, you know? Play up your natural features. Maybe you have beautiful plump lips that would look nice with a hint of gloss. Or maybe it's your eyes -- give them a swipe of complementing color and a coat of mascara. And again, makeup doesn't have to get expensive either.
People will tell you that what others think does not matter. But if what they think makes them hurt your feelings, then it does matter. Making you feel great about yourself makes their feelings toward you matter so much less.

Don't worry about what other people think. Wear what you like. Do a lot of window shopping. Look at the mannequins and compare and contrast. Get to know what you like. Everyone has their own taste. It's how you work it girl. If you feel comfortable in it, then act like you own it. Who cares what others think.

i am not a girl but i know it is more important to feel comfortable in what you wear especially when working or focusing on things rather than how it looks though of course it must look presentable.
