You have a great wit about you; I would not have compared it like that. Detroit, it appears, will make the playoffs through 'the back door'. Meaning, they'll slip into the wild card in a slump, but no other wild card contender is strong enough to overcome them. They're too young to be confident enough to win the first round, which will be the yankees.

what ya talkin' 'bout, willis?
The Tigers have a good solid team, with much talent still down in the minors.
If they dont win the world series this year, it will still be a great season for them (considering where they have been the last 13)
I see The Tigers being a force to be reconked with for years to come.
And I hate how other Tigers fans have givien up hope. It'd not too late, and The Tigers still make the playoffs this year.
Don't worry, be happy.
I still have faith that The Tigers win the Division title.
What many of you may not know is that The Tigers schedule is a breeze from here to Oct. 1st.
All you Tiger fans need to stop listening to The Big Show on wxyt.
Talk sports radio people need to shut up and just enjoy what is happening this fine fine season.

Detroit is really pumped because they have had such a great season. And they have some good seasoned players, like Pudge Rodriguez, who already has a World Series ring, to lead the way. Mets/Tigers would be a good series. So would Dodgers/Tigers. I don't want them to play in Minnesota at all . Who would build a baseball stadium with a white ceiling ???? I hate that stadium.

As a life-long Tigers fan, I can only say that no matter whether we get to the playoffs and further this year (please oh please oh PLEASE!!) or not, they have a great nucleus for the coming years. The Tigers have, believe it or not, the BEST pitching in the major leagues by some standards - most shutouts, lowest ERA - and have some good strong young arms. Their defense is better than sound, and their manager is possibly the best in the business.
As for Kirk Gibson, he chose to go to the Dodgers, so his bald head can just kiss my ascot.

Nice analogy. I'd have to say yes. They have really stunk as of late, and the Twins are only 1 1/2 behind them in the Central. Just when we here in Detroit thought that it was signed, sealed, and delivered, the Tigers go and suck. I hate to say it, but the fun is over. Next year for them. This year for the Mets.
