Yes, I spend more on gas for my car per month than I do to Heat my house and cook. It also beats out Credit Cards (all combined) and my cellphone bill.

Not a major part, but I do have to budget for it. It has been high priced for so long now, I am getting use to it. With the prices going down, I now have a few extra bucks in my pocket that I didn't have. What hasn't gone up in price this summer?, all because of the gas. (or so they say)

No, not really. I only spend about $100 a month on gas. I have a small car that doesn't suck up gas. And I only drive about 16 miles per day, to and from work.

my major concern on bills right now is GAS!!! Because i have to put gas in my car twice a week and more than $30/time. That's horrible, driving a V6 cyclinder is a worse nightmare on bills.

I spend more on gas than I do a cell phone, gas bill, electric bill, etc... But I still don't consider it a major part of my budget. My freekin' mortgage is a huge chunk of my budge!

when I quit working, it saved us $250 a month in gas, but my hubby drives an older (1992) ford explorer, and since we live about 25 mile outside of town, plus him working on the other side of town (add another 5 miles) he is going 60 miles a day round trip. I've offered to let him take my van to work, and all he says is, "Honey...it's a mini van, and I work in construction. Should those two words even go in the same sentence?" ppfftt.

HELL YES!
But oil investors who speculate are predicting lower gas prices by Christmas and by lower I mean $1.50 per gallon like the good old days of a few years ago. Because we are moving into the Gulf of Mexico to drill that huge oil reserve I think it rattled the OPEC into shape because now we aren't as dependent on them them.

I spend a huge chuck of money on gas. Next to paying for housing, gasoline is second. God help me!

Yeah, to tell the truth it was driving us under. We are still under a mountain of crap we are trying to dig out of. It's nice to see the gas prices falling, though it really seems like a political ploy to me. Pretty convenient that they fall now that the election draws near. I'm not going to look a gift horse in the mouth though. Now if my utilities would drop like that...
