You right click on their name and go to delete. Make sure when asked if you want to delete them from your address book you say yes.

put the pointer on the name of the person you want to delete press the right key (right click) then, click delete. or you may just appear permanently online.

right-click on their name and then scroll down to delete. It will ask you if you are sure or not. They may still be able to contact yuo but you can't contact them. If you don't want them to contact you , then block them. But that I don't know how to do permentaly but you can keep yourself invisible always to them if you want.
