Is the African franc already demonitized? If so what is their present currency.?

The Central and West African Francs are still current. Thier value used to be pegged to the French Franc. They are now pegged to the Euro.
Some of the older issues have been withdrawn and are difficult to redeem. Here is the Central Bank of West African States website:
