AC/DC, while a great band, is not the best ever. It is great that they have NEVER recorded a ballad, so you know you're always gonna rock when they are on. But with the passing of Bon went any possibility of being the best ever.

You're obviously going to get a lot of mixed opinions on this question.

But personally, I have hardly heard any songs by AC/DC, and the ones that I have heard aren't all that great. Kind of boring and bland, same old song over and over type of thing :/.
So to me, no, they aren't the best band ever.

I like Jet better than AC/DC, but even Jet isn't the best band ever.

Heck, Helmet is a better band (and all NYC post-hardcore bands, like Quicksand).

The Raveonettes are a better band.

Wilco is a better band (especially "Yankee Hotel Foxtrot" era).

The Replacements are a better band.

The Dresden Dolls are a better band.

The best of all though? Too many choices.

AC/DC is a good band but LED ZEPPELIN is by far the greatest band that ever was and ever will be!

Ok so they're not exactly the greatest band ever in existence, but c'mon people. Where would we be without kicka** songs like "Back In Black" and "For Those About To Rock"? These guys deserve waaaay more credit than that. (Although their song about big balls? I'll probably never understand that.)

i dont know about greatest but they are important in the history of rock they have influnced a lot of bands and i will say i can not think of another band that came back like they did from the death of lead singer

i will say i am a fan of them but there are bands that i like better but everyone has a diffrent taste in music and while i dont find them the greatest many others will just listen to what you like and dont care what anyone else has to say about them including me listen to what makes you happy

Your taste in music is as bad as your taste in baseball. Led Zeppelin is the best band ever. And go TIGERS! No hard feelings, though. You are A-okay in my book.
