Electra,
I'm sorry about still born baby. You may very well need an antidepressant. Pregnancy can take alot out of us women. You may have an imbalance in neurotransmitters related to hormonal changes. Selective serotonin re-uptake inhibitor may be called for. Please talk to your MD. But most of all, being depressed is part of the process of grieving, and I can't image how hard the death of your child is for you, but you may wish to seek out someone who has had a similar experience. Sharing your grief with someone who has been through those waters before is often helpful.
May Jehovah watch over you and may his face shine upon you.

OMG...I'm sorry! What does your doctor say? Nobody expects you to be happy bubbly after such a horrible thing. You have to heal and it takes time. Some people need antidepressants and others can handle not taking them. Everyone's different. Only you can decide that (with the help of your doctor). Good luck!

I'm so sorry. I had severe postpartum depression after the birth of my first child. I tried to ride it out and only ended up in worse shape. Talk to your doctor and take his recommendations. Mine did not over-medicate and it did make a difference.

Some people become addicted to anti depressants, but still others do not. The best thing to do is see your family doctor, he'll decide whats best for you before anyone here on Yahoo could.

Ride it out...but you need to get out there and fool around some more and make another baby.
It is just natures way of weeding out the weak in nature. So the group of cells that was in you that did not make it to a live baby was just a weak part of this world and it was weeded out.
Don't stress. Just find someone to make you preggo again.
You are here for that

Is it possible to find others on the internet who has experienced the same thing? If you could talk to them, I think that would help you a great deal. Or maybe a support group in your area? Ask your doctor.

Allow yourself time to grieve. If your doctor thinks it is a good idea, I would follow his/her advice. Give yourself some time and things should start to look brighter. Take care.

Whatever makes you feel better. You'll have people telling you why you should do both, but listen to yourself. I'd love to give you the best answer, but the best answer is inside of YOU. Hang in there, I'll keep you in my thoughts.
