Sunni and Shia hate each other. Afghan and Pakastani hate each other. Iranians and Taliban hate each other. Saudi Arabia and Iraq hated each other. It goes on and on. Bush can be proud that he has united them all in their contempt of a reckless, mercenary, opportunistic American government. The Republicans wasted an opportunity to have the muslims fight it out amongst themselves. Now they are united in their hatred of us. Another stellar success for Bush?

Are you a political adviser to these mentioned countries? Then how do you really know? Trust me, they will continue to fight each other with or without our intervention as it has been going on for far longer than the U.S. has been involved. I do agree with a few of your statements as they are surely more united and many more people are joining the terrorists than we are capturing. We need to seal off Iraq from the outside world, cleanse it of all evil, set up an effective government, then get the hell out. You are right in that this war has gone on for far too long and something other than "occupation" needs to be put in place in Iraq so we can get out of there. You asked a fine question sir.

India and Pakistan united? I wasn't aware their little "skirmish" over Kashmere had been settled.

Sunni and Shia united? Then why the sectarian violence in Iraq...clue: it's not aimed at Americans, they are killing each other.

Saudi Arabia? Clue: we actually get MORE cooperation from them now, not less.

Clue: The Taliban still hate all other Muslims that do not follow their rigid code.

And since you appeared to have missed it, lest I remind you of the World Trade Center bombing in 1993, the embassies in Kenya and Tanzania, the USS cole, among many other terrorist acts against western interests long before we ever had Shrub for president.

The myopic Bush haters are simply ridiculous. Try opening your eyes wide enough to see what the world is really like. It's never been a very pretty place.

You live in a bubble, a dream world or what?

What the hell did the USS Cole, the embassy bombings, the first World Trade Center bombing and 9/11 have to do with the Muslims fighting it out among themselves????

Where's the downside of uniting the Islamic fascists? Gather all the murdering psychos in one area and eliminate them - one by one if necessary - no down side there!

They want to kill you. They want to kill your family. A one world government under Islamic Law - does that sound like an alternative to you?
We better get united in our own defense or we're going to be in deep trouble.

Baseless, ha! Where were you on September 11?

In the greatest strategy since Roman times, President Bush and his people have managed to draw the most dangerous terrorists into a relatively small area. There they will have to fight like real men and most of them will die.

nicely put. but we need a base there. "keep your friends close, and your enemies closer" ever hear that? it means keep your friends close enough to have them as backup, but keep your enemies even closer so you can keep an eye on them. by taking iraq, we already have our base there. we can attack any point in the middle east with fanominal ease now, and we didnt even have a hard time before.

but yes, if i was in charge of the US forieng policy i would keep the factions with a bloodthristy and mindless hatred for one another. after all, if they are too busy killing themselves, they cant attack us.

Actually, yes, because he is making enormous strides in the two areas most important to him: supreme egotistical self-aggrandizement and massive stimulation of the military-industrial complex. A real bastard, but a SHREWD one.
